  • The Lions Park is owned and maintained by the Blyth Lions Club. The Park features children’s playground equipment, children’s wading pool, picnic pavilion, drinking fountain, horseshoe pits, public washrooms which are cleaned daily and green space. The wading pool is open Monday to Fridays during months of July and August and is fully supervised. The picnic pavilion contains 22 picnic tables and is serviced with municipal water and hydro. Overnight camping is strictly prohibited.

  • The Skateboard Park is located in the Blyth Campground area, it offers a fun gathering place for people of all ages and stages. Providing the forum for visitors young and old, beginners and skilled the opportunity to meet and share experiences. Open from May 1st to October 1st. Skate 4 life!

  • The Friends of the Village of Blyth is a volunteer group of community members who tend to the green and gathering spaces of Blyth in partnership with the staff of North Huron public works and recreation departments. The spaces such as The Blyth Greenway Trail, Memory Garden and Horticulture Park are outdoor settings that engage the community and guests with nature and the history of Blyth.

It’s meant to encourage supporting local businesses on a day that traditionally promotes online or big box store shopping. Shops in Blyth are open late, there are fun activities for kids, carollers and much more. It’s a great way to get your Christmas shopping started early and support local businesses at the same time.

  • Some places have tall buildings, sports teams, or museums to entertain, here in Blyth we have the Rutabaga Festival. Blyth is the largest producer of Rutabagas in Canada, so why not celebrate that? The Blyth Community Betterment Committee, along with support from local businesses, host several family fun events such as baseball, music, camping, local vendors, kids’ zone, Rutabaga Cooking Contest and more. Check us out the second weekend of June!

  • Blyth Community Betterment Committee welcomes you to the Hometown Holiday. It all begins with a Santa Claus Parade on the second Saturday of December at 11am. Friends and neighbours gather along main street to watch floats, bands and of course Santa make their way through our village. Main street is busy with activities and treats. Visit Santa for a photo.
